Custom Opening Screens Opening screens can be designed with graphics of your choice - as shown below. Graphics can be used as a command button - touching Pen Computer Solutions in this example will activate another screen. Touching the question mark will take the user to a help screen. Both Palm and Pocket PC may be programmed for color or black and white screens. Click on the Pocket PC thumbnails to enlarge.

Users can save a lot of time and a lot of spelling errors by making use of check boxes. Any number of check boxes may be programmed - from 1 to as many as the application requires.

Lookup lists and drop-down menus are probably the easiest and most efficient way of entering data. Alphanumeric character recognition using Graffiti may be used for variable data entry.

Graphics fields add spice and clarity to field data collection applications. The graphic screen shown on the left, can be programmed to display & capture data wherever the stylus touches. The "down" arrow indicates that this page has more then one screen and may be scrolled.

Signatures may be captured and stored for upload to the PC as an OLE object. Nearly unlimited text may be entered. The text box scrolls as narrative is entered. Text may be entered by using Graffiti or the popup keypad.

Radio buttons are like check boxes except they will allow only one
(1) response choice. Like check boxes, there can be as many radio buttons as are required
by the application.

Buttons may be programmed into an application to allow the user to navigate between forms, pages or other applications. Command Buttons can be used to display specific screens or text.

Date and time stamps may be programmed to display in key areas of the application. These fields simplify entry of date and time collection.
